Surendheran has completed his B.E. in Industrial Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University and MBA from NIT Trichy. After his under-graduation, he started his career in Pricol limited, Coimbatore, where he had the opportunity to get exposure in Operational Excellence domain. He has handled various continuous improvement projects and was a part of the TPM program initiative where he handled the Kobetsu Kaizen pillar.
In a span of over 4 years of experience, he built his expertise in various Industrial engineering and Lean Six Sigma tools like Time Study, Motion Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), VA/NVA analysis, Kitting design, U-layouts (Cellular Manufacturing), Material Flow Analysis, Standardized work, Bottleneck analysis, Process Control Charts, Poka Yoke. He has also trained more than 50 operators and junior management employees in the area of Lean Manufacturing, 7QC tools and 5S. After his MBA, he started his consulting career where he has handled projects of different industries ranging from Automotive, Heavy Engineering and Retail. Having the capability to identify cost reduction scope in any kind of shop floor environment, he always looks out for closing the gaps in the operations on the shop floor. Additionally, he is certified in Lean six sigma - Green belt and Inventory Management, that enables him to deliver the best.
When in leisure, he loves to watch movies of all languages and genres. An avid reader of books in both, English and Tamil, he also loves to travel to new places and meet new people to get different perspectives on life.
